Austin is a biographical oil painter whose work draws deeply from the traditions of Impressionism and Expressionism. His practice meditates on the relationship between photography and oil painting, rendering images as something closer to living memory. Austin's first exhibition was at the AHL Foundation in New York City, and he has since participated in group exhibitions across New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami. He is the recipient of the Denis Diderot Grant in 2026 and was selected as a highly commended artist by Homiens in Fall 2025. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
